After weeks of teasers, A Skylit Drive are currently streaming a brand new single entitled, “Rise.”
The lead track off the forthcoming album of the same name, which is currently scheduled for release at the end of September, “Rise” finds Skylit Drive refining an already polished sound. Not too much has changed in regards to style or typical structure, but the cleans and screams have been raised to a new level of professionalism. The nasal-laden high notes of previous releases have been stripped away and replaced with singing in the same range as the person belting the notes, and though that may seem like an obvious move, it has already made a difference that could impact the band’s future (in a good way).
Tragic Hero Records will release Rise September 24, but we expect a number of songs to pop up online in the weeks prior. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on A Skylit Drive’s latest, then tell us whether or not you plan to pick up the album.

I miss the higher-pitched, “soaring” clean vocals from Adelphia.
