Volcano Choir Release Documentary Concerning New Album ‘Repave’

Volcano Choir, Justin Vernon’s experimental pet project that in recent years has blossomed into a full band, has released a documentary detailing the writing and recording of their upcoming full-length Repave, due out September 3 via Jagjaguwar.

The video, directed by Dan Huiting, focuses on the more deliberate writing process of the outfit’s sophomore attempt, and also highlights the difficulties faced by the group during their first actual tour.

Apart from a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Repave, the documentary also showcases several songs off the album, an added bonus that will almost certainly have fans counting the seconds until September. You can catch the video in its entirety below.
