Today is all about weird music videos, and there’s no better way to keep the puzzled looks permanent than by watching the new music video from Scotland’s electropop outfit Chvrches. The band just tossed “The Mother We Share” into the videosphere with a new video directed by SJ Lee. It’s literally and figuratively pretty dark, with a girl who seems to be depressed wandering about the city until she bumps into Chvrches’ bright, electronic sounds. Check it out after the jump.
“The Mother We Share” is the opening track off the band’s debut album, The Bones of What You Believe, set to be released on September 23 through Virgin Records. The twelve-track record already has a ton of hype, and rightfully so. We’ve got our eyes on this band, and the music video is only making us more excited.
Watch the video below and let us know what you think. If you missed it, watch them play the song live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, too.
