Chris Carrabba’s Twin Forks Debut First Music Video, Announce US Tour

Twin Forks

As the lead singer of Dashboard Confessional, Chris Carrabba stood as a martyr for an entire generation of anguished teens for over a decade. Now, nearing age forty (do you feel old yet?), it would seem that Carrabba has shed the emo moniker of his youth, vying for more mature melodies in the form of Twin Forks, his new outfit featuring members of both Bad Books and The Narrative. Earlier today, the group released their first music video for the single “Cross My Mind,” which can be viewed here at Spin.com.

Throughout the video, Chris and company journey across the country, giddily playing festivals with enough energy and passion to power a small city. Moreover, the track itself is a folk-infused ballad to a long lost lover, and to the unfamiliar ear could very easily pass as some forgotten Lumineer’s B-side. Don’t be fooled however, “Cross My Mind” is Carrabba at his best, as it is laden with the same wispy vocals, lyrical prowess, and unrelenting catchiness that made Dashboard Confessional a household name.

Want more? On September 17, the four-piece will hit the road in support of their self-titled EP through Dine Alone Records, which drops the same day. You can catch the full list of tour dates below.
