A$AP Ferg Streams ‘Trap Lord’ Album

Leaks are everywhere in music these days, and if you’re considered popular in any stretch of the imagination chances are high someone (or more likely a group of people) will try and access your music ahead of the planned release date. Some battle this hunger for content with free singles, while others slap watermarks on advances and wait to catch a pirate in the act. A$AP Ferg has done neither with his highly-anticipated debut Trap Lord, and earlier today released a full album stream a week in advance of the record’s release.

I feel like we have been talking about Trap Lord since snow was lying on the ground outside UTG HQ, and that’s probably because we have indeed spent the better part of 2013 wondering when (sometimes if) Ferg’s long-awaited debut would surface. The remix to “Work” got us all sorts of excited, and while “Hood Pope” did not hit as hard it still offered an original sound in a time flooded with gimmicks. The full version of Trap Lord delivers more of this originality, but it’s still too early for us to offer a proper review. You can experience the album on Ferg’s official website.

Trap Lord hits iTunes on August 20. If you like what you hear, preorder the album and let the world know you support the art of A$AP Ferg.
