Arcade Fire May Release Something September 9

Cryptic messages are a gamble, and there’s another set of information released which may or may not be directly Arcade Fire-related. Earlier this month, an Instagram account appeared which showed “Reflektor” being drawn with chalk in some type of street art. It’s a grainy video, and pretty cult-like, but it was rumored to be a promotional video for their new album (assuming that “Reflektor” is the title) now out October 29. Today, that account posted images which spelled out “9pm 9/9.”

The three images posted look to be some type of fabric, the first of which reads “9pm”, the following “9/”, and the very last with a solo”9″ on it. September 9 used to be the release date of the album, but it’s now been moved to October 29. Maybe they’re planning on unveiling a new single or live performance? Who knows. Unfortunately there is no confirmation yet as to whether or not this Instagram account is actually Arcade Fire.
