Big Sean Releases “Control” Featuring Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica

Big Sean is only weeks away from releasing his new album, Hall Of Fame, and last night fans got an early taste of his new sound by way of a leftover track entitled, “Control.”

Hitting the net late last night following an announcement from Big Sean that it would not be making Hall Of Fame, “Control” pairs the Detroit native with Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica. This is not a b-side or a promotional joint dropped to sell a record, but rather a solid gold offering that could not make the album due to the inability to clear one of its samples. You can stream and download the track below.

The verses spit by all three emcees are some of the best we have heard all summer, but if I had to pick just one I’d be hard pressed to say anyone flows like Kendrick Lamar. While Big Sean delivers his typical flow and Jay’s is solid-yet-expected, the gruff approach of Lamar grabs you by the jugular and refuses to let go. It’s not like anyone questioned Kendrick’s skill at this point, but he continues to prove with each verse that he is undoubtedly the best in the game today. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on “Control.”

Hall Of Fame hits stores August 27. Do you planning on picking up Big Sean’s latest?
