LISTEN: Volcano Choir – “Comrade”

Experimental pop group Volcano Choir, led by Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon, have just put out their second single, “Comrade,” which you can listen to after the jump.

“Comrade” is off their upcoming album, Repave, due September 3 in the US via Jagjaguwar. With only eight tracks total, it looks like it will either be short and to the point or a dive into longer instrumental sounds (considering the rest of the band is Wisconsin’s post-rock group Collections of Colonies of Bees, the latter does seem likely). The album will also see a documentary made about it concerning the writing process among other things.

How does “Comrade” compare to their other single, “Byegone“? Let us know in the comment section below.
