In a recent interview with Radio.com, Lana Del Rey states that some of the songs that have recently leaked to the public were actually leaked because a hacker accessed her hard drive and was able to nab her songs. She stated that a number of those tracks were older, but some, like “Black Beauty,” were newer and are supposed to be on her forthcoming LP. “To be honest, what really happened was, three years ago somebody remotely accessed my hard drive, so even songs I’ve never emailed to myself [were accessed],” she explained. “There are hundreds of them.”
“I do feel discouraged, yeah. I don’t really know what to put on the record. But I guess I could just put them on and see what happens. Each time I write… I’ll never write a song if I don’t think it’s going to be perfect for the record.”
