‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Delayed To August 2014

Don’t worry, everyone. We’re still getting two Michael Bay produced films (at least) in 2014, but now we have a to wait a bit longer to reunite with Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo.

Paramount has announced that Bay’s reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been delayed two months and will now be hitting cinemas stateside on August 8 (UK on August 15). The move, according to Variety, is two-fold. The studio claims they want to cash in on the lack of family-friendly films currently scheduled in that time, as well as widen the gap between the film’s release and the release of Transformers 4.

Megan Fox stars as April O’Neil in the upcoming feature, with actors Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Noel Fisher and Pete Ploszek playing the turtles. Whoopi Goldberg, William Fichtner and Will Arnett round out the supporting cast.
