Bradley Cooper In Talks To Become Lance Armstrong For ‘Red Blooded American’

Following our ridiculous trailer post this morning, here’s some entertainment news everyone can appreciate.

Deadline is reporting that Hangover star Bradley Cooper is currently in talks to produce and star in Red Blooded American, an upcoming Warner Bros feature on world famous cyclist Lance Armstrong. Bradley is considering the role of Lance Armstrong, as well as Tyler Hamilton, the former Armstrong teammate who was part of Armstrong’s inner circle on the US Postal Service Team and who came forward and told what he saw Armstrong doing in a 60 Minutes segment.

According to various sources, the plan at Warner Bros. seems to be to fast track the film as soon as Cooper, or whomever will eventually star, sign on. Production could begin as early as this fall, which would likely mean a late spring / early summer 2014 release (if not sooner).

The story of Lance Armstrong is undoubtedly a fascinating one that deserves to be shared on the silver screen, but this rush to production feels a bit too soon for our tastes. We’ll keep you updated as this story continues to develop.
