Pusha T Explains Album Delays, Reveals New ‘My Name Is My Name’ Street Date

Every year there seems to be at least one member of the urban music community who cannot seem to release their album on time, no matter how many times it gets delayed, and this year that person happens to be our beloved Pusha T. Since late 2012 Pusha has been proclaiming his new album would be the best of 2013, and at least three separate times this year it has been scheduled for release. Still, here we are facing the fast-approaching ninth month of the year and there is still no album in sight.

Speaking with MTV recently, Pusha T commented that My Name Is My Name has been given an official street date of October 8, which is just under two months later than the last date we were told (August 17). When asked about the album’s progress, Pusha offered “Album’s finished, album’s amazing,” the Virginia native said. “It’s been a lot of the talk of the pushbacks and so on and so forth, but that’s out of my control,” he added. “And it don’t matter ’cause my dope don’t spoil, like it really doesn’t. My dope don’t spoil.”

We are still anxiously awaiting the Kanye-produced album to arrive, but we’re at a point where we’ll need at least an iTunes preorder before believing another street date. Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
