‘The Butler’ Tops Charts For The Second Consecutive Week

The Butler

Lee Daniels’ The Butler sure has been making waves, and for good reason: it’s one hell of a movie. As this weekend comes to a close, early estimates have revealed that the film is poised to earn around 17 million in gross profit. Further behind it comes The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, The World’s End, and You’re Next, which look to pull in 9.3 million, 8.9 million, and 7 million in their respective orders. Blue Jasmine on the other hand showed tremendous growth since its initial premiere. Since then, the Woody Allen directed film has expanded from being shown in six theaters and holding the low chart position of #19 to being shown in over one thousand locations and being the ninth most popular film in the country.

Would you happen to be interested in The World’s End? We recently posted a couple of things on the film, including a review written by our very own Justin Proper and a deep interview with Edgar Wright, Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg, which can be found right here.
