Bradley Cooper to Voice Rocket Raccoon in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

The moment we were all waiting for. Marvel reported today that Bradley Cooper has been officially cast as the voice of Rocket Raccoon in the film adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy. Rocket Raccoon is a wise-cracking, military tactician, who also is a walking, talking raccoon.

Is Bradley Cooper the right choice to voice what will easily be one of the most fun characters to watch in this addition to the Marvel cinematic universe? We think yes. Bradley Cooper was absolutely fantastic in his role as the fast-talking Pat in Silver Linings Playbook, and we think his snappy attitude will translate really well to the Rocket Raccoon character. Obviously we can’t know for certain how he will do, but I think the scales are tipping towards something really wonderful.

What do you think? Are you excited for Bradley Cooper? Check out an awesome gif of the Guardians of the Galaxy team after the break.
