Caspian Post Message On Moving Forward After Chris Friedrich’s Death

About a week ago fans of the group known as Caspian found out that their beloved bassist had passed away unexpectedly. The band made an initial statement on his passing, and at that time we were unsure if they were going to press forward with their scheduled performances or not. They have decided to go ahead with their shows, and have been thanking fans for their support the whole way. The band posted a statement on their decision to continue moving forward, and you can read what they had to say below the jump.

Any loss of life is terrible, and the guys in Caspian are very brave for pushing forward. If you haven’t said your condolences yet, you can head over to the band’s official Facebook to share your thoughts.

Dear Friends – First and foremost we want to thank all of you deeply for the outpouring of support we have received over the last week regarding the tragic news of Chris’s death. Your support has done nothing short of sustain us through this impossible time and we will never be able to put into words what it has meant to our band. We love all of you like family, more than ever, forever.

We will be pressing on this autumn, continuing to develop new material, and hitting the road for two months straight with Chris in our hearts. If you haven’t already heard, we’ll be the sole support on HIM’s upcoming European/UK tour this October and we are really excited about it. It’s an unbelievable opportunity for our band and we need all the support we can get from our fans out there. We are also absurdly stoked to announce that we’ll be doing a co-headline tour of North America with 65daysofstatic this November. We’ll be swapping closing sets each night but playing an 80 minute, full-on set every night regardless, performing material from all 4 of our records and covering a lot of emotional ground up there. Tickets go on sale Friday so make sure to grab them as fast as humanly possible. The World is a Beautiful Place and I am No Longer Afraid to Die will be supporting the whole tour (except Canada) and we’ll hopefully have some new merch and a surprise for you as well involving some new music. But more on that in a few…
