Lionsgate Is To Launch ‘The Hunger Games’ Themed Clothing Line

According to an article written by The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate is partnering up with Net-A-Porter to release sixteen “ready-to-wear” pieces as part of a Capitol Couture by Trish Summerville collection. The clothing line will be released in conjunction with the theatrical release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Jewelry, as well as leather items will be available around the time the film hits theaters worldwide in November. All of the clothing items and accessories are designed by Summerville, who is the series’ costume designer.

Here’s a statement made by Holli Rogers, who is a fashion designer with Net-A-Porter, on the movie inspired clothing line:

Fashion plays an important role in The Hunger Games series and is especially prevalent in Catching Fire, and fans of the franchise will see the film reference in the collection. [Source].

What are your thoughts on the move to make a clothing line inspired by the film? Will you be purchasing a Katniss Everdeen shirt?
