“Shorty’s ass soft / like a nerf ball / If you don’t like what I’m doing nigga fuck ya’ll.” – 2 Chainz
One of the most anticipated tracks off 2 Chainz insanely-anticipated Sophomore album, B.O.A.T.S. 2: Me Time, has finally arrived online complete with fittingly absurd artwork.
Debuting just in time for Thirsty Thursday shenanigans, “I Do It” finds 2 Chainz partnering with Young Money members Drake and Lil Wayne over speaker-shaking production from D. Rich. It’s a track meant for celebrating those who have the cojones to act when others won’t, and all three emcees deliver praise-worthy verses that play well off one another. You can stream the track at the end of this post.
It’s always a bit awkward when the features deliver better bars than the star of a track, but I think Drake steals “I Do It” in the end. 2 Chainz outshines Weezy, but these days that isn’t the accomplishment it used to be.
B.O.A.T.S. 2: Me Time arrives in stores September 10. Comment below and let us know what you think of “I Do It.”
