MUSIC VIDEO: MonaLisa Twins – “When We’re Together”

Mona and Lisa Wagner are twins. They’re also a musical duo called MonaLisa Twins that write and record 60s beat pop music.

The sisters recently released a brand new video for their song, “When We’re Together,” and to coincide with the song’s theme, they came up with a very fitting concept for the visuals. “We were thinking about a creative way to get lots of people involved in a connecting, artistic project, all in the spirit of the song title,” says the twins. They continue, “We installed a canvas on the walls of Stables Market in Camden, London’s world-famous art district. We ourselves started with a big red heart in the center. Pedestrians joined in and added their ideas and colors to the painting.”

The large painting used in the video just recently sold on eBay for around $450 (shipping included). At the eBay link provided you can also view pics of the finished product and the process it endured. A process akin to something you’d come across using StumbleUpon that restores your faith in humanity a little.

Mona and Lisa explain, “We were overwhelmed by the dedication of bypassing stangers, joining in to create a collective, beautiful artpiece together. It was really touching to see how people wholeheartedly started painting, being thankful for a short break in their daily routine. Businessmen, cyclists, musicians, little children and elderly people alike were painting side by side, laughing and sharing their thoughts and even very personal stories.”

All in all, everything about this endeavor was rather fitting; MonaLisa, painting, togetherness, and the song, “When We’re Together.” Watch the video after the jump.
