Steve Rennie, the longtime manager of alternative rock band Incubus, has been running a site for people looking to potentially work in the music industry and bands in the form of Renman Music and Business, or RenmanMB. Doing so, he has also ran a live webshow, Renman Live, and released the audio of such as his podcast. Now, to keep the show running and continuously offering free quality content, he has started an Indiegogo campaign here. Some killer perks include a lot of rare Incubus stuff (including a one of a kind Morning View era painting) and personal hang outs.

Explaining why he started the site, Rennie said, “Back when I was just getting started, I was very fortunate to meet a handful of folks who took an interest in me and mentored me on the ways of the real music business, lessons you could not learn in a book or in a classroom, taught to me by grisly veterans who had learned by doing. The knowledge they imparted to me was invaluable and had a huge impact on my career in the music business.  I never forgot what they did and vowed 35 years ago that given the opportunity, I would do for other people what they had done for me.”

As he is a longtime idol of mine and a respectable person in the music industry, let’s hope the campaign gets fully funded.
