Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy is back in UTG headlines once more with the release of his latest solo single, “Rough Water.”
Taking a turn for the world of acoustic-laden pop, “Rough Water” finds McCoy pairing with indie deity Jason Mraz for a smooth jam about holding onto one another in the face of, well, rough water. The verses are perfectly fine, but the highlight is the soaring hook provided by Mraz, which you’ll be singing long before the song comes to an end. You can stream the single below.
For a duo that hasn’t had a major hit between them in years, “Rough Water” could make major waves for both McCoy and Mraz. We’re not sure if the song is headed to radio just yet, but in our opinion it certainly should be. Comment below and let us know if you agree.
