Kanye West has been quiet since announcing plans to embark on the Yeezus tour last week, but last night the recent first-time father took over Jimmy Fallon’s show for a relatively unannounced performance of “Bound 2” that is sure to make your morning.
Appearing with track collaborator Charlie Wilson, Kanye took the stage on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show on Monday just hours after rumors began to spread that the hip hop deity would soon be making a rare televised appearance. Fallon introduced West by holding a poster for Yeezus tour, then the screen cut to an open stage with West and Wilson giving their all to the camera. You can view the performance below.
Many rappers fail to match the energy of their music in live performances, but Kanye West is far from your typical rapper. “Bound 2” is just as lively here as it is on the album, and I for one am looking forward to going broke when tickets for Yeezy’s tour go on sale this Friday.
