STREAM: Of Montreal – “Belle Glade Missionaries”

Indie’s relentless music-makers Of Montreal are putting out another art rock record this year, Lousy with Sylvianbriar, that hits shelves October 7. They just released a new track from the album called “Belle Glade Missionaries” which you can listen to below via Soundcloud.

“Belle Glade Missionaries” brings folk to the forefront, keeping the psychedelic antics to Kevin Barnes’ voice as the rest of the song sounds like a lost Beatles song through a slightly colored filter. Harmonies, as usual, pop up halfway through before it turns into a slightly dark corner with Spanish string playing. If you look at the album cover, it’s not exactly what you expect the single to sound like.
