Mayday Parade Release “Girls”

The number of songs Mayday Parade have written about girls is almost the same number as the total amount of songs written by Mayday Parade, and today we’ll add another to the list.

Hitting the web early this morning, “Girls” is the latest song to surface off Mayday Parade’s forthcoming album The Monsters In Your Closet. As the title suggests, the song is about girls and their inability to listen or learn, regardless of what a guy attempts. It’s the kind of track that boasts the ‘straightforward song and mega-catchy chorus’ formula that helped Mayday Parade rise to prominence in the first place, and it’s riddled with enough sappy lines of love and loss to make even the coldest heart melt. You can stream the song below.

A guaranteed future Warped Tour favorite, even if it’s not enough to advance the band’s career all that much, “Girls” is the kind of song Mayday Parade fans love to hear. “Ghosts” was a stronger song overall, but “Girls” will kill on tour, and what good is all this album promotion if it doesn’t help sell a few concert tickets as well?

The Monsters In Your Closet hits stores this October. Comment below and let us know if you plan on picking it up.
