We don’t usually cover television on UTG, but in this case we simply had to make an exception.

ABC television has released the first trailer for the upcoming Halloween special, Toy Story Of Terror. The 30-minute short film features the cast of Toy Story in a brand new spooky tale that also serves as the very first made for TV animated special from Pixar. No plot is given in the clip, but many of your favorite characters make an appearance. You can view the trailer below.

The official synopsis for Toy Story Of Terror reads:

What starts out as a fun road trip for the Toy Story gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this Toy Story of Terror.

ABC will host the world premiere of Toy Story Of Terror on October 16. No word yet on what Pixar’s next televised special will be, but it’s safe to say this won’t be the last. Who would you like to see Pixar bring back for a short?
