The Prism previews just keep coming…
Just days after releasing her new promotional single “Dark Horse,” Katy Perry has begun teasing the release of another song off her upcoming album. Titled “Walking On Air,” the next Prism track to surface will be officially released on September 30. The song, like “Dark Horse,” is not an official single the label plans to push to radio, but instead intended solely to promote Perry’s forthcoming October album release. You can stream a thirty-second teaser at the end of this post.
“Roar” offered us a mid-tempo anthem for the underdog, which is the complete opposite of the trap-inspired sound we heard on “Dark Horse.” “Walking On Air” offers another side of Perry, and this one sounds far more akin to her earlier work than the other Prism offerings up to this point. It’s too early to judge the song overall, but the chorus definitely has us wanting more.
Taking to Twitter to tease the single’s release, Perry posted:
Mark your calendars for the next #PRISMPREVIEW on SEPT 30 when you can hear/have the new song "WALKING ON AIR…" before the record hits.
