Stream Drake’s New Album

Today is the day the hip hop community has been waiting for since the early days of February 2013. After months of teasers and a couple rumored release dates that may or may not have been pushed back, Young Money heartthrob Drake has finally released his new album, Nothing Was The Same. We love it, as do many members of the critic community, and now thanks to Spotify you can preview the entire album before choosing whether or not it’s something you want added to your personal collection. You can stream the album at the end of this post.

When recently asked how Nothing Was The Same compares to 2011’s Take Care, Drake responded:

“Take Care was about connecting with my city and connecting with my past and sort of still feeling guilty that I’m not in love with one of these girls that cared about me from back in the day. Now, I’m 26, I’m with my friends, I’m making jobs for people, I’m making memories for people that will last a lifetime. I don’t need to be in love right now. I don’t need these things that I maybe once thought that I needed to feel normal and feel righteous about myself. I think for the first time in an album I’m content—not satisfied—but proud of where I’m at as a person.”

Drake has a hefty tour schedule running well into winter. If you have a chance to see him, we highly recommend you purchase tickets and go.
