Rick Ross Releases “No Games” Video

Maybach Music Group CEO Rick Ross is back in the UTG headlines this morning with the official video for his latest single, “No Games.”

Rick Ross has a long history of creating street-ready anthems with hooks that are at once accessible and highly aggressive. “No Games” is the latest edition to this ever-growing list, and in just a few weeks it will probably be Ross’ latest number one single as well. The track pairs the MMG heavyweight with Future against production that is heavy on the bass and snare for a series of verses about not messing around when it comes to business. There are a lot of rappers claiming to be part of a culture they’re not (Ross somewhat included), and on this track the man who hustles every day makes it known he won’t put up with it anymore.

The video for “No Games” is almost as straightforward as the song itself. Performance footage of Ross strolling around an elegant hotel room is spliced between grainy footage from the best moments of Al Pacino’s performance in Scarface. It’s interesting enough, but probably not a video you’ll remember a week from now. You can view the clip below.

Ross is supposedly dropping another studio album before the year is out, but MMG has been far from reliable as far as release dates go thus far in 2013. We’ll continue following his efforts in the weeks ahead and let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
