AMAZON SLIP: Fall Out Boy Releasing ‘Save Rock And Roll’ Deluxe Edition?

Fall Out Boy have been teasing news for the last week regarding the nine unreleased ‘punk/hardcore’ songs they recorded with Ryan Adams while working on their most recent album, Save Rock And Roll, and now thanks to Amazon it seems we may have some answers.

A diligent follower of all things Fall Out Boy was hanging out on Amazon’s UK site this week when they noticed a post regarding an as-of-yet unannounced ‘Deluxe Edition’ of Save Rock And Roll. The album, which currently has a release date of October 14, is believed to be the release Fall Out Boy are planning to announce on September 30. If so, fans can expect the nine unheard songs to appear here as bonus tracks, possibly on a second disc. You can view a screenshot of the Amazon product page below:

Fall Out Boy are not having a good year as far as announcements are concerned. The band’s return to music was spoiled in January and ever since it seems each step they’ve made has been slipped to the media ahead of its intended reveal. Perhaps the viral marketing that helped boost the band’s attention online in year’s past is simply no longer effective, or maybe people are just nosier than ever before. Either way, we’re certainly excited for new material and we’ll continue to follow this story as it develops.
