Stream Daylight’s “Siblings” From Upcoming Studio 4 Compilation

Daylight Promo

Daylight have released their contribution to Will Yip’s upcoming comp, Off The Board: A Studio 4 Family Compilation. Releasing October 8, 2013, Off The Board will be a collection of songs from various artists, in an attempt to aid Will’s partnership with the studio. The album, for which I anxiously await my green vinyl variant, will feature acts ranging from Daylight, Balance and Composure, Title Fight, Tigers Jaw, Citizen, Turnover, and many other great artists.

If you enjoyed Daylight’s debut LP Jar, then you have nothing to fear on “Siblings,” for they return with the heavy tones, dreary vocals, and that 90s vibe that coursed all over their latest release. Vocally led by singer and guitarist Taylor Madison, the track continues with the themes of family instilled on Jar.

“This comp represents everything that I’ve done in the past ten years of my life,” says Yip, “I want to give the punk, hardcore, and alternative community of awesome bands a home.” Yip, who has killed it this year, released some of my personal favorite albums for 2013, including, Citizen’s Youth, Turnover’s Magnolia, Daylight’s Jar, and Balance and Composure’s The Things We Think We’re Missing, just to name a few.

Look for the compilation in early October, and if you haven’t, pre-order it here.
