Ground Up Recruits G-Eazy For “Breakfast”

Rising hip hop talent Ground Up is making headlines this afternoon with the release of a brand new single entitled, “Breakfast.”

I don’t know much about Ground Up, but after hearing the song at the end of this post I instantly knew I wanted to be a fan. Featuring an appearance from UTG favorite G-Eazy, “Breakfast” is the type of track you know could make waves in music if only given the proper marketing push. The song offers a bass-heavy beat you can work to, with lyrics about seeking a ‘bad bitch’ who knows her way around a kitchen. It’s a bit silly when explained that way, but the song itself is no laughing matter. Ground Up and Eazy deliver heat with each verse, and we think you’ll soon find yourself converted into a Ground Up fan too. You can stream the single at the end of this post.

If we’re being perfectly honest, the only reason I initially clicked on “Breakfast” was because G-Eazy’s name was attached, but now that I have had the chance to experience the track a handful of times I realize he’s not even the highlight of the material. Eazy does his fair share, sure, but his lines cannot hold a candle to what Ground Up delivers.

“Breakfast” is currently available on Amazon MP3. Comment below and let us know if you would like to see more coverage on Ground Up in the weeks ahead.
