Sleigh Bells‘ Derek Miller and Alexis Krauss return with the duo’s third album in as many years, Bitter Rivals. Slated for release on Tuesday of next week (October 8) on Mom + Pop Music, the album is now streaming in its entirety on Rolling Stone.

Miller and Krauss had promised a more melodic, less dissonant album – after listening, Krauss’ assertion that she’s “doing something Beyoncé or Janet Jackson” isn’t quite as head-scratching as it may first seem – but the sun-soaked confidence and jagged walls of burly metal guitars that made Treats and Reign of Terror hits are still strong presences. Those R&B influences have definitely been integrated more than ever, though, taking the band even further out onto their inimitable limb of noise pop.
