Story of the Year Release Acoustic Version Of “Anthem of Our Dying Day”

Page Avenue came out when I was twelve. I must give credit to that record, along with Glassjaw’s Worship and Tribute, and The Used’s self-titled debut (I don’t care where that band is now, their S/T is legendary), to being the first few records that got me into rock, and into independent music. I remember using Page Avenue as the soundtrack to destroying my friends in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but alas, enough nostalgia, let us celebrate Page Avenue.

Story of the Year have released the latest rendition from their upcoming acoustic album, Page Avenue: Ten Years And Counting, which is an acoustic retelling of their beloved debut, out October 8. This time around, “Anthem of Our Dying Day” takes the spotlight, while yesterday “Until The Day I Die” was showcased.

The track, which hits just as hard of an emotional punch as the original, brings a calming wave to counter the dynamics of the original. Check out the 2003 music video for “Anthem of Our Dying Day” after the jump, and come down memory lane with me.
