Suicide Silence Confirm They Have A New Vocalist, Release Teaser Instead Of A Name

The metal world has been buzzing today with rumors that Suicide Silence have decided to replace fallen frontman Mitch Lucker and continue on with their career. Now, just hours after Lambgoat kickstarted new member rumors, fans have some answers.

UTG can now confirm the members of Suicide Silence have indeed replaced Lucker, but at this point in time the group have yet to reveal their new frontman’s name. Instead, the newly revitalized Suicide Silence have released a teaser featuring material recorded with their new vocalist. You can stream the clip below.

As far as we can tell, Eddie Hermida of All Shall Perish is still the frontrunner to be the Suicide Silence’s new vocalist. The voice in the clip certainly sounds like Hermida, but until the band confirms him as an addition to the lineup we only have the information provided by sources of other websites to report. Take it with a grain of salt and wait for the official word.

Definitely sounds like Eddie but doesn’t fit as well as he did/does with ASP. Can’t say I’m a fan of the vocal tactics either. You know, the “pig squeals” and such that died out with Doom-era JFAC and the lot.

If it’s not Herrmida, idk. I feel that Scott Lewis would fit their sound well. I always loved Nate Johnson as well. It’d also be nice for Leo Miller to get back into things.

I was never a super huge fan of the band, I just liked some of their songs. I think the vocals are pretty good, but I sure hope he keeps away from pig squeals or anything like that.

I was never a big SS fan either. I liked ‘The Cleansing’ but they were never my favorite in that scene. I felt they were pretty generic but I know Eddie and Mitch were good friends (I believe they got matching tattoos together) so it would make sense for him to step in.
