With a saddened mindset on Tuesday we posted news that the well-earned fiction writer Tom Clancy, passed away. Clancy’s legacy still lives on today in almost all forms of media, ranging from books, movies, and video games. A lot of my childhood was spent playing the Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon video game series on popular second generation consoles, but it wasn’t until my late-teens that I truly realized how vast of a world Clancy has created.

That realized reality continues today, with the first poster for the upcoming film Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, being revealed. The film, which is based off of one of Clancy’s most famous characters, Jack Ryan, will star Chris Pine in the lead role, and center a story focused on a Russian terrorist plot against the U.S economy.

The titular character, Jack Ryan, has been portrayed many times in film, played by actors ranging from Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck. Check out the new poster after the jump.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit will hit theaters this Christmas.
