Hear Best Coast’s New Single “This Lonely Morning”

Best Coast is back with a new mini-album called Fade Away due October 22, and they just shared another track off it on Soundcloud. Following up their previously-shared track “I Don’t Know How,” new song “This Lonely Morning” was written much quicker. “I wrote that song in literally five minutes, sitting in bed one morning, bored,” Bethany Cosentino told Rolling Stone. “The song kickstarted the writing for this record.”

Fade Away is the follow-up to Cosentino and Bobb Bruno’s 2012 The Only Place. Two songs released on Record Store Day by the band–“Fear of My Identity” and “Who Have I Become”–are also on the mini-album. The record was produced by Wally Gagel (who also produced Best Coast’s iTunes EP) and will be out via Cosentino’s new label, Jewel City/Kobalt.
