Aaron Gillespie Continuing To Fill In On Drums For Paramore’s Upcoming Arena Tour

Earlier in the day it was confirmed that Aaron Gillespie, made famous for his extensive work with both Underoath and The Almost, will continue to fill-in as Paramore’s drummer during the outfit’s upcoming arena tour, The Self-Titled Tour.

Gillespie recently concluded a romp across Europe with the three-piece after being called in last minute to replace Paramore’s regular touring drummer, Miles McPherson. McPherson, who has additionally performed alongside Kelly Clarkson, Look What I Did, and many other notable acts, was seriously injured this past August when he lost control of a golf cart and was dragged for approximately 20 feet by the face. The drummer suffered numerous burns across his body, several broken bones, and an undisclosed leg injury, and has since been recovering at his home near Nashville, Tennessee.

Gillespie and the trio will begin The Self-Titled Tour in Seattle on October 15, with tours of both Australia and New Zealand to follow before the group hits the high seas for their first ever sponsored cruise, “Parahoy!” Though Gillespie’s involvement with the group beyond The Self-Titled Tour has yet to be detailed, you can catch Paramore’s upcoming tour dates below.
