Radical Face Streams “Holy Branches”

Ben Cooper is a wildly talented man. He’s been involved with several projects including the electronic pop outfit, Electric President, but if you’re unfamiliar with the man’s current indie folk endeavor, Radical Face, then you’re missing out. You’d certainly love his work if you’re a fan of anything from the likes of Kevin Devine and or Andy Hull.

After 2007’s Ghost (one of my favorite records of all time), Ben began working on a concept trilogy, much like that of Andy Hull’s Right Away, Great Captain! or even The Dear Hunter’s Act series. The Family Tree found its first installment, The Roots, released right around this time in 2011, and now Radical Face will be releasing part two, The Branches, on October 22. You can be on the lookout for a review here on UTG before the release date.

Ben is currently streaming the second track off the new album, entitled “Holy Branches,” and you can stream it right here after the jump. In classic RF fashion, this song is beautiful, with gorgeous vocal melodies perfectly expressing Cooper’s elegant lyrics. “Holy Branches” is one of the best offerings on the new album and will give you an accurate taste of the beauty to be found on The Branches.
