Required Listening: Mod Sun Featuring Arwildwolf – ‘Live Love Laugh’

It has been too damn long since we heard from everyone’s favorite hippy, but as we’re about to learn time has been kind to the one known as Mod Sun.

Yesterday, October 8, Universal Music Group released a digital compilation titled Basement Chronicles #1. The album features unreleased material from a number of digitally hyped talent, including T. Mills, Sammy Adams, and of course, Mod Sun. His track, “Live Love Laugh,” showcases an unquestionably mature sound for the fun-loving Minnesota based rapper. Backed by piano and aided just a bit by an appearance from Arwildwolf, Mod Sun delivers a pair of his most impressive verses to date, touching on his positivity, life on the road, and mission to spread the belief that anyone can do whatever they put their mind to. Along the way he drops a few solid ‘punchline’ bars, as well as his own take on the meaning of ADIDAS. You can stream “Live Love Laugh” at the end of this post.

Mod Sun has been laying low recently, but that probably means he’s busy grinding away at Blooming Sounds and working on whatever release he’ll deliver next. Will it be his debut album? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Follow UTG on Twitter to ensure you never miss another headline.
