Joseph Gordon-Levitt Denies Rumors That He’s Vying For Ant-Man Role

Yes, there are more superhero movies in the works, and one that you might not have known (unless you are nerdy like we are here at UTG) that an Ant-Man movie is set to be released in 2015. Right now Marvel is working on casting some of the roles in the film, including the main man himself, Ant-Man. According to an update by Variety, the two front runners for the role are Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd. They also indicated there’s a remote possibility that someone else could snatch up the role, but these two are supposedly the favorites.

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt has already denied rumors that he is one of the actors contending for the role. This took place during an interview between him and the site AlloCine. In a nutshell, he says that the rumor is “nothing but lies.” Oh well, we all had our hopes up for a short while anyway.

I think Paul Rudd could be perfect for the role actually and probably much better suited than JGL.

I’d think he’d do a great job too…however I’d love to see JGL play a main superhero!
