Experience The Frightening New Trailer For ‘Devil’s Due’

2014 is looking to be set off with some serious scares. In between Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (Jan. 3) and I, Frankenstein (Jan. 24), we’re focused on something seemingly far more promising in Radio Silence’s Devil’s Due, set to hit theaters on January 17.

Having previously become known through various web videos, then rounding out 2012’s V/H/S with what many would call the film’s best segment (myself included), the filmmaker collective, Radio Silence, made waves indicative of a promising career to come. Other than maybe Wrong Turn and select few others, 20th Century Fox aren’t too keen on releasing horror films of this magnitude but they’re backing Devil’s Due which is somewhat surprising. Now, if they’d only get behind that third X-Files film that everyone wants.

Anyway, the first trailer for Devil’s Due was released today and it has us extremely excited to see this film. Likely taking cues from similar features such as The Last Exorcism, Devil’s Due looks like it could be a feature length version of a V/H/S found footage short itself. Terrifying paranormal events and Occult themes are always interesting. Pair that with a very capable scribe and directing team and we’re definitely on board. You can read the film’s synopsis after the jump followed by the trailer. Enjoy.

“After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behavior in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin.”
