Tom Waits Plays First Show In Five Years

In honor of Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit, Tom Waits played his first show in five years last night. My Morning Jacket and Queens Of The Stone Age were also on the bill.

Following the announcement of the Bridge School Benefit via Facebook Waits said in a statement, “I had every good intention to stay home and work on my JD Salinger Halloween mask, but when Neil told me yesterday he was serving burnt cow’s eyes on a flat tire and it’s all gluten free, I invited myself!”

Tom Waits’ last headlining show was in August 2008, when he played Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
