‘Star Wars’ Blooper Reel Surfaces After 36 Years

Earlier today, a new Star Wars blooper reel surfaced online, effectively sending the interwebs into a frenzy. You can view the video, which up until this year had been “lost” for over three decades, after the jump.

Though today marks the first time this bonus feature was made public (thanks to a Reddit user named forceduse), it actually made its debut this past July at Comic-Con, after being discovered by author J.W. Rinzler during the production of his “Making of” series. Before then, the video had not been seen by anyone for 36 years.

Despite a lack of audio for the first 48 seconds, the blooper reel still provides fans of all ages with an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at one of the most beloved franchises in movie history. Sit back, enjoy, and may the force be with you.
