The Saddest Landscape Stream New Song

Long-running Boston band The Saddest Landscape have released a new song called “Loss Will Find Us.” The track will appear on their upcoming split EP with My Fictions, titled When You Are Close, I Am Gone. The record is due out November 12 on Topshelf Records.

“Loss Will Find Us,” which can be heard after the break, features the Saddest Landscape’s characteristic loud/soft dynamic, and it builds into a gripping ending with multiple vocalists yelling, “We are forever!” Even more intriguing, however, is the final track of the EP. While the song hasn’t been released yet, guitarist Andy Madox told Spin, “The record is centered around a 13 minute track that has My Fictions writing the first third, the two bands entirely overlapping in the middle section and the Saddest Landscape finishing the last third.” Truly collaborative split releases are always interesting to hear, and with the pedigrees of these two bands, When You Are Close, I Am Gone should be especially so.

The split is now available for preorder from the Topshelf Records store.
