Andrew Bird Releasing ‘I Want to See Pulaski at Night’ EP, Streams Title Track

Even though there are ten full-length albums, I’m somehow always hungry for more Andrew Bird music. Just in time to fill any Thanksgiving cravings (for yummy treats or new tunes), Bird will be dropping a brand new EP, I Want to See Pulaski at Night, on November 12, and the title track is light enough not to spoil your appetite.

With some backing vocals that sound like DeVotchKa, the title track bounces quietly with an upright bass part that embraces his violin part beautifully. The multi-instrumentalist and professional whistler keeps things modest but doesn’t fail in winning the listener over, allowing sweeping crescendos and electronic-fed violin parts at the end to tie the bow on this airy, Chicago-referencing package.
