In the midst of all the Kanye, Eminem, Kendrick, and the like, the best rap-related news to me has to be the fact that Run The Jewels wasn’t just a one-off project release. But with how massive and well-received that release was, how could Killer Mike and El-P not continue on?
Taking to Twitter Friday night around 9PM, Jaime Meline aka rapper/producer extraordinaire El-P, announced in a very straight-forward fashion that there would indeed be a follow-up to the initial effort.
RTJ2 2014.

As no exact date has been revealed as of yet, we’ll wait patiently and continue spinning the duo’s first RTJ album along with Killer Mike’s R.A.P. Music and El-P’s Cancer 4 Cure. As for Run The Jewels, they’ll be releasing a new deluxe version of the vinyl on December 16 via Big Dada. If you want the original deluxe yellow, you’ll have to dole out no less than $80, although it’s well worth it.
Watch their recent video for “Get It” after the jump and if you still haven’t got the album do yourself the favor and snag it right here for free.
