‘Ender’s Game’ Beats The Rest This Box Office Weekend

Ender's Game

Between the recent premiere of Ender’s Game, a silver screen rendition of the 1985 novel by Orson Scott Card, and Gravity, it seems as if sci-fi movies have held a tight grip on being the most popular films of the past month. Early estimates have shown that the Gavin Hood-directed film has made at least 28 million this opening weekend, which puts it 8 million above last weekend’s top film: Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.

Shortly behind Johnny Knoxville’s latest comedy comes the star-studded Last Vegas (including the likes of Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline), which is looking to earn 500k more than the other heavy hitter to hit theaters: Free Bird.

Check out our review of Last Vegas right here, and be sure to check out the full listing of the top ten highest grossing films of the November 1-3 weekend after the jump.
