Stream the Soundtrack for ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’

If anyone needed a little something extra to get yourself going on this Monday morning, well, you’re in luck as NPR has made the entire Inside Llewyn Davis soundtrack available for streaming. The excellent new film from the Coen Brothers explores the 1960s New York underground folk scene. I reviewed the film for UTG last week, while it arrives in theaters on December 20.

The soundtrack sees Oscar Isaac, the star of the film, collaborating with the likes of Marcus Mumford and producer T-Bone Burnett, who found similar success on the soundtracks for O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Crazy Heart. While most of the songs on the album were recorded specifically for the film, the album also features a previously unreleased Bob Dylan recording. The real-life inspiration for the film, Dave Van Ronk, is also represented with “Green, Green Rocky Road.”

The soundtrack will be released on November 11, but you can pre-order the album on Amazon or iTunes if you like what you hear.
