It’s hard to find an alternative rock/pop music blog in existence that hasn’t hurt their hands writing about The 1975 in recent months. The UK outfit has quickly become a need-to-know group in the music world, and this morning the production team known as The Knocks has delivered a killer remix of one of their biggest tracks.
“Girls” is the kind of song you love from the first few moments it begins to penetrate your ear canal. It’s infectious, feel-good music that makes you want to grab the closest good looking person and ask them to dance, regardless of location. The Knocks’ remix of “Girls” ups the ante of excitement with glitchy edits and thumping bass while maintaining the inherent catchiness of the original single. You can stream and download a free mp3 of the remix at the end of this post.
Tuesday may seem too early to start dreaming of the weekend, but with tracks like this it’s hard to not imagine slipping away for a few drinks with your closest friends. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the remix.
