New England rock outfit Half Hearted Hero have partnered with our friends at Absolutepunk to premiere half of their contribution to Secret Audio Club’s upcoming Wax Packs series.

Choosing the route of updating old material over delivering something new, the latest track from Half Hearted Hero will no doubt sound familiar to longtime supporters. Both songs contributed to Wax Packs are re-recorded versions of songs from Half Hearted Hero’s debut, and today the updated cut of “Satori” can be stream at the end of this post.

The idea behind Wax Packs is to create a limited series of 7″ releases that people collect like baseball cards. There are 10 records total, but they come randomly inserted into ‘wax packs’ (with at least one rare color variant guaranteed in each order) that you can preorder now on Secret Audio Club’s website. The series will be released in January.
