New ‘Oldboy’ Trailer Finds Its Way Online

The upcoming Josh Brolin led remake of Oldboy has been covered in depth for so many months it’s a little hard to believe the movie is still three weeks from release. Trailers have debuted, clips have been released, featurettes have been posted, and now that the film’s in its final promotional run another new trailer has popped up online.

Blending together familiar footage from the red band trailer that was released over the summer with about 5-15 seconds of new imagery, the latest trailer for Oldboy offers very little that we haven’t seen before. Still, what is shown excites for the film, which a recent press released described as “a unique reinterpretation of the 2003 Korean film.” You can view the trailer below.

On the off chance this is your first time reading about this film, Oldboy follows the story of Joe Doucette, a man who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement, for no apparent reason. When he is suddenly released without explanation, he begins an obsessive mission to find out who imprisoned him, only to discover that the real mystery is why he was set free.

Oldboy opens November 27. Comment below and let us know if you plan on seeing this upcoming film.
